Orcs are a powerful and physically imposing race capable of inhabiting both forests and arid regions. They possess considerable physical capabilities, natural night vision, and a temporary Racial Ability known as Orcish Fury.
Biology
Orcs possess large, muscular humanoid bodies and are naturally suited for physical combat. Both males and females are physically robust, although males traditionally occupy the dominant positions within Orc society.
They also possess natural night vision, allowing them to see effectively in darkness without relying on a separate Racial Ability.
Racial Ability
Orcish Fury
Orcish Fury is the characteristic Racial Ability of the Orc race. When activated, it temporarily enhances several aspects of an Orc at the same time.
While Orcish Fury remains active, the Orc experiences an increase in offensive power, intellect, and healing speed. This makes the ability more than a simple state of rage, as the user becomes both physically more dangerous and temporarily more capable of processing information during combat.
These enhancements are temporary. Once Orcish Fury ends, the additional power, intellect, and accelerated healing provided by the ability disappear.
Society
Orc society is patriarchal, with males traditionally occupying leadership positions.
Orcs are also known for possessing a particularly strong reproductive drive. This characteristic would later contribute heavily to their relationship with other races after major changes affected the Devilhuman populations.
Habitat
Orcs can establish settlements in different environments, but they are particularly associated with forests and desert regions.
Their physical resilience allows them to survive under very different environmental conditions, making them less restricted to a single type of territory than many other races.
Combat
Orcs are naturally dangerous physical combatants. Their robust bodies allow them to rely heavily on direct attacks, while their natural ability to see in darkness gives them an advantage during nighttime engagements or battles in poorly illuminated areas.
Orcish Fury can dramatically increase their threat for a limited period. Its combination of greater offensive power, accelerated recovery, and enhanced intellect allows an Orc to become more dangerous without sacrificing its ability to think clearly.
History
In the original future, the disappearance of female Devilhumans profoundly changed the relationship between many Devilhuman races and humanity.
Orcs became one of the races particularly hated by humans during this period. Orc groups frequently attacked human populations in order to capture women, contributing significantly to the hostility between the two sides.
This behavior made Orcs one of the Devilhuman races that developed an especially hostile reputation among human populations during that era.
