Abeejes are a winged race known for their matriarchal society, honey production, highly venomous stingers, and powerful sonic attacks. Their communities contain both males and females, although females are normally more numerous and hold the highest positions of authority.
Biology
Abeejes possess several insect-like characteristics, including translucent wings and venomous stingers. Their wings allow them to fly at high speeds and also play an important role in their offensive capabilities.
Their stingers contain a powerful venom. Besides the damage caused by the sting itself, the venom progressively weakens the physical strength of the affected target.
Sexual Dimorphism
Abeejes display pronounced sexual dimorphism. Males possess a considerably more insectoid and physically imposing appearance, while females have a more humanoid appearance while retaining distinctive Abeeje traits such as their wings and insect-like features.
Both males and females exist naturally within Abeeje society, although females are generally more numerous.
Society
Abeeje society is matriarchal. Females possess greater political authority, and the highest position within their society is occupied by a Queen.
Their society can also include Princesses and Princes. Princesses hold a higher social rank than Princes.
These positions should not be confused with biological castes. Abeejes do not possess separate biological worker, soldier, or reproductive castes. Queen, Princess, and Prince are positions within their social hierarchy rather than different varieties of Abeeje.
Honey Production
Abeejes construct large honeycombs within their settlements and produce their own distinctive honey.
Abeeje honey is highly valued not only for its flavor but also for its healing properties. It can assist in physical recovery, making honey an important resource produced by their communities.
The exact limits and strength of these healing properties can vary and are not currently specified.
Flight
Their translucent wings allow Abeejes to fly at considerable speeds. Their aerial mobility allows them to quickly reposition themselves and attack from directions that ground-bound opponents may struggle to defend against.
Venomous Sting
Abeejes possess a highly venomous stinger that can be used in close combat.
Their venom has a debilitating effect on its victims, gradually reducing their physical strength after being affected.

Sonic Buzz
By beating their wings at extremely high speed, Abeejes can generate an extraordinarily powerful sonic buzzing attack.
The resulting sound can interfere with an opponent's hearing and sense of balance. Targets exposed to it may experience intense ringing in the ears, temporary hearing impairment, dizziness, vertigo, and severe disorientation.
Greater exposure or more powerful use of the ability can produce increasingly severe physical effects, potentially damaging the auditory system and causing intense physical distress.
Because balance is partially dependent on the inner ear, the ability can make it considerably more difficult for affected enemies to move, orient themselves, or fight effectively.
Combat
Abeejes combine aerial mobility, venom, and sonic attacks to pressure opponents in several different ways.
Their ability to fly allows them to remain mobile while their Sonic Buzz can disrupt groups of enemies. Once an opponent has been disoriented or weakened, an Abeeje can use its venomous stinger to further reduce the target's ability to fight.
Multiple Abeejes using their abilities within the same battlefield can therefore create a particularly dangerous situation for enemies attempting to maintain formation or coordinate their movements.
